The Community Film and Discussion Series is a series of virtual gatherings built to share thoughts about documentaries that tell the stories of Muslim communities.
On September 23rd we will discuss Le Moulinet - A French Revert Community that tells the story of a close-knit group of French converts to Islam: why they became Muslim and how they built a communal life together to foster a life of learning and devotion.

Then bring your thoughts and reflections to the virtual gathering at 7:30pm CDT on Wed. Sep. 23rd.
A few guiding questions to think about as you watch:
What strikes you about the way they speak about their engagement with Islam?
How is their approach to community building different than normal approaches taken by communities in the United States?
Do you think that you, personally, could commit to the sense of communal living that they engage in?
What are the pitfalls, if any, to their approach? And what leads to those pitfalls if you identify any?
What inspires you about their story?
What similar projects are you familiar with and how are they similar?
