Lakefront Bike Ride and Picnic

Join us for a physically-distanced bike ride down the Lakefront Trail from the 31st Street Beach to the South Shore Nature Sanctuary.

Schedule

  • 3:30pm - Meet at the Lakefront trail near the 31st Street Beach (you will need to find street parking nearby if you are driving in). Once our group has arrived we will leisurely ride down the Lakefront trail to the South Shore Nature Sanctuary, 6.5 miles away (about 45 minutes of biking).

  • 4:30pm - Picnic and exploring the South Shore Nature Sanctuary.

  • 6:00pm - Bike back up the trail to the 31st St. Beach

What to Bring

  • A Facemask

  • A Bicycle (your own or you may find a Divvy Bike Rental Nearby (fair warning: depends on availability)

  • Plenty of Water

  • Packed lunch and snacks

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Optional

    • Picnic blanket

COVID-19 remains a real risk, so please keep a reasonable distance, do bring a mask, and please avoid hand-shaking and physical touch.
